Pastor Brian answered the call to ministry after more than 30 years in public education, retiring as the principal at Rieck Avenue School in Millville. As a member of the laity, he served the Church as an adult Sunday School teacher, Lay Leader, Nurture and Outreach Committee chairperson, choir member, and other roles. He was a member of the gospel quartet, “In His Name.” Pastor Brian has a heart for those on the margins of society and believes in the gospel’s transformative power to change individuals and communities. Prior to this appointment, he was already volunteering and serving on the Board of Directors at Trinity First Hope Center. He believes the church is at its best when we are showing Christ’s love to others in our words AND our actions. He has a doctorate degree from Seton Hall University and completed his studies to become a Deacon at Palmer Theological Seminary. Pastor Brian and his wife Nancy have been married for 28 years. They are excited about what God has in store for all of us as we work in ministry together at First Church!

Showing You the Way
We encourage you to join us at First United Methodist Church by attending one services and worship opportunities.
If Christians are to be a sign of the reign of God in their daily lives and if worship is to be the place that reminds us that we were baptized to show forth the reign of God in daily living, then what a great opportunity our congregation has to connect worship with the events that shape our lives.

Veronica Anderson-Administrative Assistant
Hi. I’m Veronica Anderson. I am honored to begin serving you all as Administrative Assistant in the church office. A lot of you know me from the Praise Team at the 9 am service. I’ve been married to my loving and interesting husband for 12 years. We have two children, Michelle is 9 and Nicholas is 7. I come from a construction background that ended 9 years ago with the birth of Michelle. When she was born I became a full-time mom and after Nicholas was born I really had my hands full. As they both started school, I started back to work. Miraculously finding Code Blue where I fit right in. Through Code Blue, we found First Church. We love our church. We have never felt more at home than we do at First Church. I look forward to meeting those I don’t know yet and to becoming even more involved with First Church as the years go on.

Director of Youth Ministries
My name is Angela Ridgeway, a proud wife and mother of two. I've dedicated much of my time to volunteering with young people, helping them navigate life. As Youth Director at First Church, I am able to witness to the kids and watch them deepen their love for God. Sharing that journey with them is truly a wonderful experience. I’m excited to see where this path leads me in my ministry. Being able to experience the love for God with them is an amazing opportunity. I cannot wait to see where it takes me in my ministry.

I have a background in the medical field since I was 14, but God called me to do something bigger. I pray that God gives me the wisdom to walk the path he has set before me, with the support of my husband, kids, and church. My favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Director of Youth Ministries
Carmen Francis DeGregorio III is my name, and everything in my life has led me back to Millville, to God, and to pursue Ministry. At this very church, I remember the highlight years of my young life from 2011-2013. What seemed like a world apart from mine at first, to getting saved at Keswick during the happening, and being brave enough to play guitar and sing at Youth Group.

To the many friends I met, and didn’t know previously were so valuable at the time, due to their faith in our awesome God. Feeling like I belonged, and no matter what was weighing on my heart, there was a completeness in this new fellowship.
