Showing You the Way

We encourage you to join us  at First United Methodist Church by attending one services and worship opportunities.

If Christians are to be a sign of the reign of God in their daily lives and if worship is to be the place that reminds us that we were baptized to show forth the reign of God in daily living, then what a great opportunity our congregation has to connect worship with the events that shape our lives.

Pastor Brian Robinson

Pastor Brian Robinson

Senior Pastor

Pastor Brian answered the call to ministry after more than 30 years in public education, retiring as the principal at Rieck Avenue School in Millville. As a member of the laity, he served the Church as an adult Sunday School teacher, Lay Leader, Nurture and Outreach Committee chairperson, choir member, and other roles. He was a member of the gospel quartet, “In His Name.” Pastor Brian has a heart for those on the margins of society and believes in the gospel’s transformative power to change individuals and communities. Prior to this appointment, he was already volunteering and serving on the Board of Directors at Trinity First Hope Center. He believes the church is at its best when we are showing Christ’s love to others in our words AND our actions. He has a doctorate degree from Seton Hall University and completed his studies to become a Deacon at Palmer Theological Seminary. Pastor Brian and his wife Nancy have been married for 28 years. They are excited about what God has in store for all of us as we work in ministry together at First Church!

Veronica Anderson-Administrative Assistant

Veronica Anderson-Administrative Assistant

Hi. I’m Veronica Anderson. I am honored to begin serving you all as Administrative Assistant in the church office.  A lot of you know me from the Praise Team at the 9 am service. I’ve been married to my loving and interesting husband for 12 years. We have two children, Michelle is 9 and Nicholas is 7. I come from a construction background that ended 9 years ago with the birth of Michelle. When she was born I became a full-time mom and after Nicholas was born I really had my hands full. As they both started school, I started back to work. Miraculously finding Code Blue where I fit right in. Through Code Blue, we found First Church.  We love our church. We have never felt more at home than we do at First Church. I look forward to meeting those I don’t know yet and to becoming even more involved with First Church as the years go on.

Director of Youth Ministries

I'm so excited to be here at First Church! A little information about me. I grew up in this church. I owe my life to God because of how much he has done for me. The biggest part of what he has done in my life happened right here in this very old building. I attended youth group from 5th grade to 12th grade. I look forward to rekindling some of those relationships I once had here. What we will accomplish here together as a family will be something really special, I can promise you that. I'm very passionate about a few things: the Philadelphia 76ers/Eagles. I love music, I play guitar and drums. I'm most likely one of the easiest-going people you will ever talk to so please ask me anything you want to know!
